Level 1: Trail Leader (TL)
The Trail Leader TL is a two days + ( + Pre Course Training online) training and assessment course in cycle coaching and leading, in an on and off road environment, on low to medium technical terrain.

Mountain Bike Coach Tutor
The Tutor Course is a modular course designed to train suitably qualified and experienced candidates to implement the MBCUK Coaching Scheme.

Level 2: Technical Trail Leader (TTL)
The 2+ days course (+ online Pre Course Study including Rider Profile and Question Paper) follows the same syllabus as the Trail Leader but trains and assesses the candidate’s ability to coach and lead at a higher level and in more challenging environments including overseas.The award has an Expedition and Overseas module.
This higher level award is obtainable by more experienced cyclists with a strong coaching and leading background.

Personal Skills Development
The Training Courses run at all levels and form an integral part of the MBCUK scheme. They are standalone courses or built in to the assessment course. The training generally mirrors the assessment course syllabus, and may be tailored to meet the requirements of the candidates.

Level 2: Expedition Module (TTLE)
This course is the bolt-on two-day expedition module TTLE. It trains and assesses the candidate’s ability to plan an overnight journey; to effectively lead and coach whilst on the multi-day journey including night riding and bivouacking; The overseas module trains candidates to lead and coach overseas.

Road Cycle Leader Safety Course RCL
The Road Cycle Leader safety course RCL is two days long training and assessment course in cycle coaching and leading, in an on-road environment. It includes an educational QCF Level 2 Award when applied for at enrolment.
